In manufacturing, the Handwork or Deburring Department is responsible for the post-production finishing of parts. When raw metal or plastic parts undergo heavy industrial processes like CNC machining, stamping, casting, laser cutting, or welding, they are rarely perfect right out of the machine. They often come out with burrs—which are unwanted, sharp ridges, raised edges, or rough metal flakes left behind by cutting tools and drills.
